The Vault Pro Scooters, a haven for riders and fingerboard fanatics, wanted to inject some serious adrenaline into their online store. Faced with a clunky, hard-to-navigate website, they teamed up with Future Holidays to build a high-octane online experience that could boost sales and stoke the passion of their community.

The Challenge

  • The existing Shopify theme was outdated and difficult to customize, hindering scalability and requiring constant developer intervention.
  • Poor site navigation and confusing product displays led to customer frustration, low engagement, and high return rates.
  • The website lacked a clear visual hierarchy, making it difficult for customers to find sales, promotions, and key information.
  • Email marketing was an underutilized revenue channel, without a clear, consistent monthly strategy or execution cadence to grow subscribers and drive repeat purchases.

Our Strategy

Upgraded Theme: Migrated The Vault to a modern, customizable Shopify theme, providing a flexible framework for future updates and enhancements.

Streamlined Navigation: Redesigned site navigation to be more intuitive and user-friendly, ensuring easy access to products, promotions, and essential information, and reorganized product collections into groups that made more sense for the customer.

Enhanced Product Displays: Optimized product pages with clear visuals, compelling descriptions, and prominent calls-to-action.

Strategic A/B Testing: Conducted rigorous A/B testing on key elements like sales button placement and promotional banners to maximize conversions.

Ongoing Optimization: Implemented a continuous improvement process, monitoring site performance and making regular optimizations to enhance speed, accessibility, and user experience.

Email Marketing & Flow Optimization: Strengthened the Welcome Flow, ran ongoing A/B tests across Cart Abandonment, Checkout Abandonment, and Browse Abandonment, and continuously optimized the signup popup’s creative, targeting, and trigger settings to grow the subscriber base feeding into lifecycle marketing.

Improvement in Signup Form Submission Rate

The signup popup had been running on autopilot, converting well below its potential. Through continuous testing of its creative, targeting, and trigger settings, the submission rate showed a 371% improvement and total submissions nearly doubled.

That surge fed directly into the Welcome Flow, which quickly became The Vault’s strongest revenue driver, generating a 123.21% increase from May through July as more new subscribers arrived and received their introductory offer.

With more subscribers moving through the pipeline, attention turned to the moments where they were most likely to walk away. Future Holidays launched a wave of A/B tests across Cart Abandonment, Checkout Abandonment, and Browse Abandonment, experimenting with fresh creative concepts and messaging angles to learn what actually brings a hesitant shopper back to complete their purchase. Those learnings are folded back into each flow on an ongoing basis, surfacing the strongest variations, retiring what doesn’t work, and continuously sharpening the flows that keep The Vault’s community engaged and coming back.

For the second consecutive year, Future Holidays partnered with The Vault to build a Black Friday/Cyber Monday strategy that exceeded expectations and laid the groundwork for record-breaking revenue growth.

By shifting away from cluttered product grids in favor of immersive lifestyle storytelling and “bigger, bolder” flash sales, the campaign captured the community’s attention more effectively than ever before.

From scaling a robust VIP SMS list well ahead of the November rush to testing tiered offers that significantly boosted Average Order Value, the data-driven approach ensured every touchpoint, even the often-overlooked warmth of a Thanksgiving Day email, contributed to a high return on investment.

How Smarter Cart and Checkout Logic Drove a 184% Revenue Boost

Increase in Revenue

Even after an order is placed, there are still creative ways to upsell without being intrusive. Future Holidays first set up a post-purchase upsell offering 25% off helmets to encourage additional purchases immediately after checkout.

Through extensive tracking and testing, this limited-time offer proved to lift conversion rate, so the team expanded the upsell to include a variety of complementary products based on each customer’s purchase. That expansion catapulted results even higher, driving a 184% boost in revenue and improving the upsell conversion rate to 3.77%.

To further boost AOV and improve the shopping experience, Future Holidays also refined the cart drawer logic to surface more intelligent, personalized recommendations. Moving away from generic suggestions, the team built a strategic cross-sell approach: scooter buyers now see compatible parts and accessories, while accessory shoppers are prompted with complete builds, making every recommendation feel relevant and intentional rather than redundant. This change improved conversion rate by 77% over the previous period, to an astounding 10.4%.

The Scooter Builder: A New Way to Shop

Launched on July 1, 2026, the Scooter Builder gives customers a guided way to configure their own custom build and it’s already showing strong early adoption.

Signals of exactly where to focus merchandising and content are emerging as the tool matures.

Impact

Together, these initiatives gave The Vault Pro Scooters a digital experience as fast and confident as the riders it serves. The site redesign turned a clunky, hard-to-navigate storefront into an intuitive, high-speed shopping experience, lifting conversion rate 7.7% and page speed up to 20%. Lifecycle marketing turned a dormant opportunity into a 26% lift in attributed revenue, powered by a Welcome Flow up 123.21% and a signup form converting at more than four times its original rate. A second consecutive year of BFCM strategy drove revenue up 161% year-over-year, and smarter cart and checkout logic pushed upsell revenue up 184%. Layered on top, the new Scooter Builder is off to a fast start, converting first-time users into 52 orders in its opening weeks.

Through a comprehensive website overhaul focused on user experience, navigation, and ongoing optimization, paired with a lifecycle marketing program built to match the brand’s energy, Future Holidays helped The Vault Pro Scooters achieve significant improvements in site performance, customer engagement, and conversion rates.
