Magical Butter, a baking appliance and accessory retailer geared toward edibles and infusions, approached us to help them optimize their current website. The ask: How can we convert more visitors into actual customers? We knew we could help.
Our partnership began in 2021 and has since evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of this growing, international retailer.
Our initial plan was to help Magical Butter identify KPIs, provide a specific strategy roadmap, and make small adjustments to their website. It quickly became apparent that design and development assistance was needed on a larger scale.
Magical Butter wanted to emphasize recipes and deals on their mobile site, but had outgrown their current Shopify theme, which limited the amount of customizations available. Their site was mobile responsive but not mobile adaptive (yes, there’s a difference!). Since more than 80% of their website visitors were using mobile, we decided a rebuild was necessary to make the site faster and more user-friendly.
In addition to upgrading their website architecture, we helped implement their subscription program, build a customer service platform, and improve UX by first running A/B tests on Google Optimize.
The results were pretty astounding. In just one month since the launch of the new website, the conversion rate increased by 2.78%, AOV increased by 12.91%, and page load time and page download time improved by 11.53% and 29.10%, respectively. The website was faster, and attracted more new customers than ever before.
