What’s in a Name? The Real Story of Future Holidays

Why Future Holidays?
When I launched this agency in 2015, I wasn’t looking for a name that “sounded professional.” I wanted a name that meant something and captured the reason I left the traditional agency world in the first place.
To me, Future Holidays is a mindset. It’s that moment when you know something good is on the horizon-even if it hasn’t happened yet. The anticipation. The energy. Independence.
That name became my compass. Because at the core of Future Holidays is this trio: creativity, freedom, and purpose.
- Creativity: because that’s the work. It’s what we make, refine, evolve, and share.
- Freedom: to explore ideas, live flexibly, and work in a way that sparks insight instead of stifling it.
- Purpose: the filter we run everything through. It has to matter. It has to connect. It has to make an impact.
The name doesn’t just sit on our website – It drives how we operate.
Remote Since Day One (Before It Was Cool)
We didn’t go remote when everyone else did in 2020. We’ve been remote since 2015.
From the start, I built Future Holidays as a fully remote, work-from-anywhere agency because I wanted to create the kind of environment I didn’t see in traditional agencies, one that gave people trust, space, and room to breathe.
We’ve never measured creativity by desk time. We measure it by energy, intention, and what gets built. And because we’ve always worked this way, we didn’t have to pivot-we just kept going.
Mental Health Isn’t an Afterthought-It’s the Engine
Here’s something that wasn’t in the original blog, but has become a huge part of our identity: mental health is foundational to how we work.
Creativity isn’t a faucet you turn on. It’s fueled by clarity, curiosity, and emotional bandwidth. And travel-whether it’s a weekend away or a long remote stretch-is one of the most effective ways we’ve found to reset.
There’s research to back that up:
- A 2020 study shared in AFAR reported that 97% of people felt happier just planning a trip.
- Lee Health reports that travel improves sleep, boosts mood, and reduces anxiety.
- Nature Neuroscience found that people who experience more varied environments show increased emotional well-being and mental flexibility.
- According to The Times of India, even solo travel boosts clarity and confidence.
- And Vogue reports that novelty from travel stimulates neuroplasticity and helps prevent burnout.
We believe space and movement create better ideas. That’s why freedom and well-being are baked into our process-for our team, and for the clients we support.
Remote, But Never Distant: In-Person Still Matters
Even as a remote-first agency, we never wanted to be disconnected.
In fact, one of the things we value most is meeting our team, our clients, and partners face-to-face, around a table, wherever it makes sense.
These visits aren’t one-offs. They’re baked into how we build partnerships. Being there physically gives us better insight, better empathy, and better context for the work. And every time, the relationship deepens.
Remote is great. But presence-real, human, intentional presence-still matters. And we prioritize both.
What We Do Is an Extension of Why We Exist
Future Holidays isn’t just a name-it’s our approach.
That future-facing mindset influences everything we do: helping brands grow with intention, create momentum, and build experiences their customers care about. Not just flashy campaigns, but work that makes people feel something.
We’re not here to sell strategy for the sake of it. We’re here to help you form lasting, meaningful connections with the people who love your brand.
Because like us, your brand should stand for something, something worth looking forward to.

TL;DR (for busy Skimmers)
- Name origin: Future Holidays is about mindset-creativity, freedom, and the joy of anticipating something meaningful. It’s how we work and how we live.
- Mental-health-first logic: Travel clears your head, reduces burnout, and brings fresh thinking. It’s part of our process-and our purpose.
- Remote, but never distant: We built this agency remotely in 2015-not as a reaction, but as a belief. And we still show up face-to-face for our team, clients, and partners-because real relationships build better work.
- Vision > deliverables: We don’t lead with what we make-we lead with why it matters. Strategy and story, not just surface.
- Partners, not vendors: We go deep, stay curious, and care about long-term outcomes-not just quick wins.
- Ending uplift: Broadcasting live from wherever creativity lives-beach cabanas to mountain hamlets-we are Future Holidays.
- Est. 2015 / Location: Far & Wide / Mission: To empower brands with designs that feel alive, strategies that spur growth-and experiences that bring joy and impact.
