UX/UI Designer

Future Holidays is looking for an experienced and talented UX/UI designer to design and shape unique, user-centric products and experiences. The ideal candidate will have experience working with developers and copywriters.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create e-commerce designs with a mobile-first approach for a diverse range of forward-thinking brands.
  • Create working prototypes to define interactions and animations.
  • Create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas using any of these methods.
  • Keep abreast of best practices/trends/tools.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Creative Director to create best-in-class e-commerce experiences.
  • Document intended functionality, behaviours and interactions in collaboration with the project team to produce a technical specification.
  • Seeking ways to enhance the e-commerce experience of our websites – focusing on mobile, responsive design and performance.
  • Proactively pushing the level of quality in both thinking and execution.
  • Collaborating with our development team to create high-quality front-ends that function beautifully on all devices.
  • Presenting your work, explaining user journeys to multiple stakeholders.
  • Performing design reviews on your projects to ensure the quality of build matches what you and the client envisaged.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong portfolio to be presented during the interview.
  • Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
  • Creative ideas with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Be open to receiving objective criticism and improving upon it.
  • High level of experience with responsive and adaptive design.
  • Expert knowledge of Figma & Invision.
  • Strong knowledge of UX/UI with experience in wireframing customer journeys and prototyping.
  • Have a sound understanding of cross-browser, SEO, accessibility and usability design for the web.
  • Pixel perfect attention to detail and a sense of pride and ownership over quality.
  • Have a keen interest in e-commerce.
  • Be organized and have excellent attention to detail.
  • Be passionate about all things tech, digital and design.
  • Be comfortable with the concept of change and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills and be comfortable discussing your work with team members and clients.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Smart, proactive, fast-learning team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude!
