Business Development Representative

We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our growth efforts and connect with top-tier Shopify eCommerce brands. In this high-impact, performance-driven role, you’ll be at the forefront of our sales process—prospecting new opportunities, initiating conversations, qualifying leads, and booking meetings that drive our pipeline. You’ll work closely with our sales and marketing teams to support go-to-market initiatives and play a key role in expanding our client base across the Shopify and Klaviyo ecosystems.
Responsibilities:
- Research and build prospect lists of ideal eCommerce/Shopify brands (updated bi-weekly).
- Conduct outbound outreach via email, phone, LinkedIn, and social media to generate interest and schedule discovery calls.
- Qualify leads and ensure a strong handoff to the sales and strategy teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners in the eCommerce ecosystem.
- Drive new business and strategic growth through outreach, partnerships, and industry events.
- Identify and nurture high-impact partnerships, serving as a bridge between partners and internal
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align messaging and outreach strategies.
- Maintain accurate lead data and outreach activity in CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot).
- Prepare sales materials and documents for client distribution.
- Support event planning and prospect networking through conferences, dinners, and webinars.
- Provide regular reporting on KPIs, lead pipeline, and performance.
- Help improve outreach strategies through testing, feedback, and data analysis.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in sales or lead generation, preferably in a marketing agency, eCommerce, or SaaS environment.
- Familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem and digital marketing trends.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with outbound calling to US/EU/UK markets.
- Proficiency in HubSpot, Trello, Slack, and Google Workspace tools.
- Ability to self-manage, multitask, and work within deadlines in a remote environment.
- Available at least partially during 9am–1pm PST for collaboration.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and spot opportunities for workflow/process improvement.
Bonus Points If You:
- Have previous experience working with Shopify merchants or Shopify apps.
- Have worked in a client-facing agency environment.
- Have experience with conversion optimization, email marketing, or UX design.
- Bring a successful track record of outbound sales campaigns or partnership development.
